Easter and Passover foods that Americans most like and dislike, according to new data

Instacart has compiled data on Americans' preferences for Easter and Passover foods, revealing that chocolate is the top choice for Easter candy. Reese's Peanut Butter Eggs, Reese's Peanut Butter Cups, Cadbury Chocolate Mini Eggs, Hershey's Milk Chocolate, and Cadbury Creme Egg were the most purchased candies during Easter weekend in 2024. However, lamb is a divisive dish, with 35% of respondents saying it is one of their least favorite dishes for Easter. For Passover, gefilte fish is also a polarizing food, with 44% of survey respondents ranking it among their least favorite dishes. Traditional foods like matzoh, horseradish root, and gefilte fish see major spikes in purchases during Passover because they are symbols of the holiday. Tulips and lilies are popular flowers used to decorate Easter and Passover tables, representing renewal and fresh beginnings.
