Matt Wrack, a hard-Left ex-fireman and former leader of the Fire Brigades Union, is facing allegations of racism and bullying after being named the new general secretary of the National Association of Schoolmasters Union of Women Teachers (NASUWT). Wrack is at the centre of three employment tribunal disputes relating to his time at the FBU, including claims of racial discrimination and blocking a black firefighter from joining the union. His appointment has prompted concerns that the NASUWT could swing to the Left. Jewish leaders have also accused Wrack of being insensitive to anti-Semitism in the Labour Party.
