Iran's president visited those injured in a huge explosion at the Shahid Rajaei port in southern Iran's Hormozgan province. The blast killed 28 people and injured about 1,000 others. Videos showed a smoldering port with a deep crater surrounded by burning smoke. The fire is now under control and emergency workers hope to fully extinguish it. The port had received a shipment of ammonium perchlorate from China, which was intended for use in Iranian ballistic missiles. The cause of the explosion is still unclear. Russian President Vladimir Putin has deployed emergency aircraft to provide assistance.
