Vitamin D supplements slow telomere loss, reducing biological agin

A new study found that vitamin D supplements may slow biological aging by preserving telomere length, the protective caps at the ends of chromosomes. Participants taking 2,000 IU of vitamin D daily experienced less telomere shortening over four years compared to those who received a placebo.
