Defense technology startup Anduril Industries has become the third company in the United States to supply solid rocket motors, breaking a decades-long duopoly and helping to address a critical bottleneck in missile production. The move comes as global conflicts have driven up demand for munitions, prompting militaries to expand their stockpiles. Anduril has opened a new manufacturing facility in Mississippi, employing over 100 workers and aiming to produce 6,000 tactical motors annually by 2026. The company is introducing automation and innovative fuel blends to improve efficiency and missile range, and has already test-fired more than 700 motors. Recently, Anduril was selected by the United States Army to develop a new rocket motor for long-range artillery, further cementing its growing role in the defense sector.
