Arkia has announced plans to launch direct flights from Israel to Bangkok and Hanoi, breaking El Al's exclusive hold on the route. Currently, El Al is the only airline offering direct service to Thailand, with high ticket prices, especially during peak travel months. Arkia's entry into the market brings significantly lower fares, with one-way tickets starting at $499 and round trips from $998, including baggage. This move is expected to create competition that could lead to reduced prices for travelers.
