Israel will begin ceasefire negotiations, Netanyahu says

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has announced that Israel will begin negotiations for a ceasefire and the release of hostages, but has not accepted the current deal being offered. Negotiators will be dispatched once a location for renewed talks is determined, according to Israeli media. Netanyahu emphasized that defeating Hamas and securing the release of all hostages are interconnected objectives. Israeli officials have voiced opposition to any agreement that would only result in the partial release of hostages, insisting on the release of all captives and the disarmament of Hamas as conditions for ending the conflict. Meanwhile, Hamas has accused Netanyahu of obstructing a mediated ceasefire proposal.
