Atomic is a fast-paced thriller that follows two unlikely companions, played by Alfie Allen and Shazad Latif, as they race across Africa and the Middle East with a pair of uranium-filled statues. The plot is packed with action, featuring pursuits by criminal gangs, special forces, and extremists, while the protagonists exchange witty banter and philosophical debates. Although the series delivers plenty of excitement, it misses a chance for deeper emotional engagement when a subplot involving a traumatized boy is abruptly cut short. Despite moments of promise and sharp dialogue, the story ultimately settles for forgettable fun rather than genuine suspense.
