A 58-year-old Pakistani diplomat, Amir Zubai Siddiqui, who worked for ISI and was posted in the Pakistan high commission in Colombo, Sri Lanka, has been summoned by a Chennai court in connection with a 2014 espionage case. Siddiqui is accused of recruiting a Sri Lankan national to develop a network of spies in India and carry out bomb blasts at the US consulate in Chennai and the consulate general of Israel in Bengaluru.
