This figure is significantly lower than the amount typically delivered by a single aid truck, which carries around twenty tons, with hundreds of such trucks entering Gaza daily. The ministry dismissed the flotilla as a publicity stunt, noting that activists had rejected offers to unload aid at regional ports. Notable participants included environmental activist Greta Thunberg, who, along with over one hundred thirty other activists, was deported to Turkey following the interception.
