The United States has finalized an agreement with Qatar to construct an air force facility at Mountain Home Airbase in Idaho. The new facility will serve as a training center for Qatari pilots learning to operate F-15 fighter jets. The announcement was made by United States Defence Secretary Pete Hegseth during a meeting with Qatari Defence Minister Saoud bin Abdulrahman al-Thani at the Pentagon. Hegseth highlighted the project as a testament to the strong partnership between the two countries and commended Qatar's significant involvement in recent diplomatic efforts related to the Gaza ceasefire and hostage negotiations.
