Palestinian media reported that an 11-year-old boy, Mohammad Bahjat Al-Hallaq, was shot and killed by Israeli troops in the southern West Bank village of al-Rihiya. The incident allegedly took place while children were playing soccer on a school playground, with Al-Hallaq struck and later dying from his injuries. The Israel Defense Forces had not issued a statement regarding the event by Friday morning. In a separate incident, Israeli forces killed a 20-year-old man during a raid in Qabatiya after he reportedly threw an explosive at troops. Ongoing violence in the West Bank has resulted in significant casualties on both sides since October 2023.
