A man identified as Mahmoud Amin Ya'qub Al-Muhtadi, accused of participating in the October 7, 2023, massacre in southern Israel, has been arrested in Louisiana after allegedly concealing his involvement in the attack on his United States visa application. According to a criminal complaint, Al-Muhtadi, a native of Gaza and member of a militant group, entered the United States in September 2024 and was living in Lafayette, Louisiana, where he worked at a restaurant. Investigators say his social media and communications revealed years of affiliation with armed groups and detailed his role in the attack, including leading a group across the border and coordinating armed movements. Al-Muhtadi now faces charges of visa fraud and conspiracy to provide material support to a foreign terrorist organization.
