The image, which accompanied an article by professor Karim-Aly Kassam, was widely criticized as antisemitic and accused of promoting Holocaust inversion. Following backlash, the newspaper removed the drawing, stating it did not meet their standards, and republished the article without the artwork. Both the professor and the editor-in-chief expressed regret over the image's impact, while the university declined to comment.
