Channel 12 News analyst Amit Segal has revealed new developments in the case involving Military Advocate General Yifat Tomer-Yerushalmi. On Sunday, Tomer-Yerushalmi was found by search and rescue teams with her clothes soaked in seawater and her mobile phone missing, after contact with her was lost earlier in the day. The search was initiated when she failed to attend a scheduled meeting with her attorney, prompting both her lawyer and her daughter, who found a letter she had left, to alert authorities.
Police have arrested Tomer-Yerushalmi on suspicion of obstruction of justice. Investigators are focusing on the whereabouts of her missing mobile device, which is considered a crucial piece of evidence. If it is determined that she intentionally discarded the phone, the investigation will move forward without requiring further justification.
