A war crimes complaint has been filed in Germany against a former Israeli prime minister. The complaint alleges that, during his leadership, the Israeli government and military conducted a major campaign that led to widespread bombardment of civilian areas. It claims this resulted in the destruction of hospitals, schools, and United Nations facilities, as well as the deaths of more than 1,300 Palestinians, including hundreds of children and women. The case has been submitted to both the Berlin Public Prosecutor's Office and the Federal Prosecutor General in Karlsruhe.
