Humanitarian group Gift of the Givers provided support and accommodation, enabling most of the group to receive temporary visas, while others continued to third countries. President Cyril Ramaphosa emphasized South Africa's compassion and longstanding support for the Palestinian people, but said a thorough investigation into the origins and circumstances of the flight is underway.
