Two former senior officers from the Israeli military did not attend meetings called by the Chief of Staff to discuss the failures surrounding the October 7 attack. While one officer cited being abroad, the other gave no reason for his absence. Another senior officer who did attend was informed he would be dismissed from reserve duty. Additional disciplinary actions were reported, including the dismissal of the Gaza Division intelligence officer and a formal reprimand for the head of Military Intelligence. Meetings with other high-ranking officers have also taken place as the military addresses accountability for the events of October 7.
