F1 has stopped trying too hard in Las Vegas, but one big issue remains

The third running of the Las Vegas Grand Prix saw a more balanced approach from Formula One, with less emphasis on spectacle and more focus on racing. While the event still featured unique Las Vegas touches, such as themed entertainment and fan-friendly experiences, drivers were relieved to have fewer off-track obligations, allowing them to concentrate on the race itself. The race weekend was marked by McLaren's double disqualification, which shook up the championship standings, and continued concerns about the track's bumpy surface and challenging grip levels.

Despite improvements in organization and atmosphere, the biggest issue remains the race's timing within the season. Drivers and teams voiced frustration over the demanding triple-header schedule, the significant time zone shifts, and the cold November conditions in Las Vegas. While the event is now more accepted by locals and participants, ongoing discussions about the calendar and race logistics suggest further adjustments may be needed to optimize the experience for everyone involved.
