A remarkable incident occurred in Bnei Brak when a student at the Slabodka Kollel discovered 150,000 shekels hidden in the wall of an apartment he had recently purchased. The apartment, previously owned by a woman from Hod Hasharon, had belonged to her late brother, and the cash was found during renovations. Faced with a complex question of ownership, the student consulted Rabbi Yehuda Silman, who ruled that the money should be returned to the previous owner, as she was unaware of its existence. In a special ceremony, the student returned the full amount, moving the woman to tears and earning the Rabbi's heartfelt blessings for his integrity and adherence to religious principles.
