Minister of Energy and Infrastructure Eli Cohen has firmly stated that Turkey will not be included in any international peace force in Gaza, emphasizing that the matter is non-negotiable. Cohen argued that both Turkey and Qatar are aligned with the Muslim Brotherhood and would act against Israeli and American interests, particularly by supporting the continued influence of Hamas.
He also addressed the dire situation in Gaza, describing it as devastated and in need of a comprehensive solution. Cohen advocated for granting Gazans the right to leave the region and resettle elsewhere in the world, not just in neighboring Egypt.
Regarding Israel's recognition of Somaliland, Cohen highlighted the strategic importance of forming ties with the region, which could potentially absorb Gazans. He underscored Israel's expanding influence and its efforts to secure its borders and counter terrorism amid ongoing regional tensions.
