Foreign Minister Gideon Sa'ar has urged France to support the European Union in designating the Iranian Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps as a terrorist organization. Sa'ar made the appeal during a conversation with French Foreign Minister Jean-Noël Barrot, emphasizing the group's longstanding role in spreading terror and repressing the Iranian people. He argued that such a designation would be both morally justified and effective, sending a message of solidarity to those protesting in Iran.
Meanwhile, France has summoned the Iranian ambassador in response to the Iranian regime's violent crackdown on domestic protests. French Foreign Minister Barrot condemned the actions as 'unbearable and inhumane,' stressing that there should be no impunity for those targeting peaceful demonstrators.
