At the Jerusalem Post Miami Conference, Meira Lerner, director of World Emunah, emphasized that supporting women, families, and community resilience is essential for Israel as it faces war and social challenges. World Emunah, a major social service organization, operates more than 120 programs across Israel, including children's homes, daycare centers, therapeutic clinics, and educational institutions, forming a vital safety net for society.
Lerner highlighted the organization's global network and its recent achievements, such as passing key resolutions on women's empowerment at the World Zionist Congress and securing leadership roles within national institutions. These milestones reflect Emunah's long-standing commitment to advancing women's leadership, a mission rooted in its founding by pioneering religious Zionist women over 90 years ago.
During Emunah's 90th-anniversary Women's Leadership Conference, the organization celebrated both its legacy and the women shaping Israel's future. In the wake of recent conflict, Emunah's therapeutic centers have played a critical role in supporting the mental health of families, especially those of reservists, through counseling and targeted support groups. Lerner underscored the importance of recognizing and empowering 'the heroes behind the heroes' in Israeli society.
