Sky News nominated for nine Royal Television Society TV journalism awards

Sky News has received nine nominations at the Royal Television Society Television Journalism Awards, including a nod for news channel of the year. The channel's journalists have been recognised for their coverage of major international events, with Alex Crawford reporting from conflict zones such as Syria, Libya, and Somalia, and Nima Elbagir investigating the war in Sudan. Other nominees include Tom Cheshire for his forensic reporting, Sam Coates for political coverage, and Mollie Malone for emerging talent, highlighting the breadth of Sky News' journalism.

Sky News' international reporting has earned multiple nominations, including John Sparks' digital award nomination for his coverage from the front lines in Ukraine. The channel's reporting on post-conflict Syria is also in contention for the international news coverage award. The awards ceremony, chaired by Adrian Wells, will take place on 4 March and will honour outstanding contributions to television journalism.
