Omri Ronen, an officer in an elite military unit and leader of the 'Brothers in Arms' movement, has announced his intention to run for the national parliament. Ronen, who has served over 300 days of reserve duty since the war began, revealed his decision during a televised interview, citing his commitment to stepping forward in times of national crisis. His activism was notable during the opposition to judicial reform and following the tragic loss of his grandmother on October 7 in Kfar Aza.
Ronen has not yet disclosed which political party he will join, but made it clear he will not align with the current coalition. He called for accountability from those who held positions in the government during the October 7 events, stating they should step aside and await investigation by a state commission.
