Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi announced that Israel and India will sign a series of economic, security, and diplomatic agreements during Modi's visit to Jerusalem. The announcement came during a joint press conference, underscoring both countries' intent to deepen cooperation across multiple sectors.
Earlier in the day, the two leaders visited the Yad Vashem Holocaust Museum, where Modi toured the Hall of Names and participated in a memorial ceremony. He laid a wreath and placed a stone in remembrance of Holocaust victims, later writing that the Holocaust remains one of humanity's darkest chapters and a reminder of the need to uphold humanity, dignity, and peace.
Modi, who arrived in Israel on Wednesday, also addressed the Israeli parliament, becoming the first Indian prime minister to do so. In his speech, he emphasized the strong bond between the two nations and outlined plans to expand collaboration in innovation, technology, and economic development, calling the partnership a source of strength in an uncertain world.
