Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky announced that Ukraine will send experts to the Middle East to assist United States military personnel and civilians in the region. The move follows messages he received about ways to provide support and enhance protection for those deployed in certain countries.
According to Zelensky, the specialists will arrive next week and will be prepared to begin work immediately. He said the teams will bring necessary equipment and resources, while specific details of the assistance will be determined after they assess conditions on the ground.
The announcement comes days after Zelensky said the United States requested Ukrainian support in countering Iranian Shahed drones. Ukraine has developed significant expertise in defending against these drones, which Russia has used extensively in its war against Ukraine.
