The Commander of the Home Front Command visited the site of a projectile strike in the Zarzir Local Council, where a missile landed near residential homes and caused significant damage from a powerful blast wave. He met with the head of the council and reviewed the scene, emphasizing that the blast wave was lethal and responsible for the destruction.
He stressed that most individuals who were unharmed had been inside proper protected spaces at the time of impact, while those outside such spaces were injured. He underscored that this outcome highlights the critical importance of following official safety instructions and immediately entering designated shelters during alerts.
The commander also noted that recent efforts have been made to improve and upgrade alert systems, with the aim of reducing the size of areas receiving preliminary warnings and minimizing unnecessary alerts. He expressed strong appreciation for emergency organizations and search and rescue personnel operating nationwide, adding that the operation is ongoing and requires continued public resilience and adherence to safety guidelines.
