Native has emerged from stealth with 42 million dollars in funding, including a 31 million dollar Series A round led by Ballistic Ventures, alongside existing investors General Catalyst, YL Ventures and Merlin Ventures. Phil Venables, former chief information security officer of Google Cloud and now a venture partner at Ballistic Ventures, has joined the company’s board.

The company introduced a multi cloud security platform designed to translate an organization’s security policies into provider specific controls across Amazon Web Services, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud and Oracle Cloud Infrastructure. Instead of adding another monitoring or detection layer, Native’s platform uses the built in enforcement mechanisms of each cloud provider to apply and manage security policies directly.
