Russia reportedly proposed that the United States stop sharing intelligence with Ukraine about Russian military operations in exchange for Moscow halting its intelligence cooperation with Iran. The offer was said to have been presented by Russian envoy Kirill Dmitriev during a meeting in Miami with senior officials from the Trump administration. According to the report, Washington rejected the proposal.
Under the reported terms, Russia would have ceased providing Tehran with sensitive intelligence, including precise locations of American military assets in the Middle East. In return, the United States would have ended intelligence support to Ukraine related to Russian forces. Dmitriev later dismissed the report as 'fake,' while the White House declined to comment.
The alleged proposal has raised concern among European diplomats, with one describing it as 'outrageous' and warning that Moscow may be attempting to divide the United States and Europe. The report comes amid deepening military and intelligence cooperation between Russia and Iran, including claims of arms deals and expanded security ties, even as the United States continues to provide intelligence assistance to Ukraine despite scaling back other forms of support.
