United States Ambassador to Israel Mike Huckabee praised Israeli President Isaac Herzog for issuing a letter condemning extremist violence in Judea and Samaria.

Huckabee rejected descriptions attributing the violence to settlers, arguing that those responsible should not be associated with the broader settler community. He stated that individuals who engage in theft, vandalism, and attacks are not settlers but 'unsettlers' and described them as terrorists.

He emphasized that many settlers are 'good, decent people' and said criminal acts should be clearly distinguished from the actions of the wider community.
