Iranian opposition groups mobilized across major Western cities as tensions escalate between the United States and the Islamic Republic, raising expectations of renewed unrest inside Iran. With the possibility of a ground confrontation looming, diaspora communities have intensified political organizing in anticipation of potential internal challenges to the Iranian government.
In London, widely seen as a central hub for the Iranian diaspora, republican groups gathered over the weekend, while monarchist supporters met in Texas and later rallied outside the White House. Leftist organizations held separate events in several cities, reflecting ideological divisions within the opposition movement.
At the same time, some left leaning factions opposed to military action joined global demonstrations rejecting both monarchy and war. Supporters of the Mojahedin e Khalq also staged protests in multiple locations, including London, highlighting the broad but fragmented nature of opposition activity abroad.
