Motek, a Miami-based Mediterranean restaurant chain, is set to open five new locations in New York City. The chain, founded by husband-and-wife team Charlie and Tessa Levy, has rapidly expanded in South Florida since its opening in June 2020. Motek offers a menu influenced by Lebanese, Moroccan, Turkish, Yemeni, and other cuisines, with popular dishes including the award-winning arayes burger and a banana-tahini-silan smoothie. The Levys plan to open a fully kosher-certified location in the Flatiron District, with additional locations to follow. Despite the competitive New York market, Charlie Levy believes that Motek's personal story sets it apart.
