U.S. President Donald Trump said he pressured Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to allow humanitarian aid into Gaza, as no aid has been delivered since March 2. Trump expressed concern for the suffering of the people in Gaza and stated that they are taking care of the need for food and medicine. The U.N. World Food Programme has run out of food stocks in Gaza, and hunger and malnutrition are deepening. Trump also speculated that Netanyahu might lead Israel into a military confrontation with Iran if diplomatic efforts fail.
