The Knesset Foreign Affairs and Defense Committee has completed discussions on a proposed ultra-Orthodox enlistment bill and is set to begin rewriting the legislation, according to chairman Yuli Edelstein. The bill has already passed its first reading in the Knesset plenum and is now in committee for further readings. Edelstein aims to produce a conscription law that will increase the IDF's conscription base.
