Iran welcomes the end of US attacks on Yemen, its Foreign Ministry spokesperson says, after US President Donald Trump announced Washington would stop bombing the Iran-aligned Yemeni Houthi rebels. Tehran says it 'welcomed the cessation of US aggression against the country,' praising Yemenis for their 'legendary resistance.' Trump said Yemen's Houthis had agreed to stop disrupting important shipping lanes in the Middle East. Under the agreement, neither the US nor the Houthis would target the other, including US vessels in the Red Sea and Bab al-Mandab Strait, mediator Oman said. The Houthis, however, maintained that they will continue to launch direct attacks on Israel.
