First Aleppo-pine coffin found on the Nabataean Incense Road near Avedat

Discovery of a Roman-period burial near Avedat in Israel adds a rare wooden coffin to the Negev corpus, shedding light on burial practices along the Incense Road. The coffin, made of Aleppo pine, dates back to the second-third centuries CE and is the first of its kind found on the main trade route.
