The United Nations General Assembly overwhelmingly demanded an immediate ceasefire in Gaza, as well as aid access, after the US vetoed a similar effort in the Security Council. The resolution also called for the release of hostages, return of Palestinian prisoners, and full withdrawal of Israeli forces from Gaza.
