Report: Most aid trucks from Egypt to Gaza looted and sold in markets on 1st day of 'humanitarian pauses'

More than half of the Egyptian aid trucks that entered Gaza on Sunday were reportedly looted and their contents sold in local markets, according to a report by Al-Araby Al-Jadeed. Out of 130 trucks, only 37 reached official aid warehouses, while 73 were looted near the Morag Axis, an area controlled by Israeli forces. Another 20 trucks were returned to Egypt for unclear reasons. This incident occurred during the first day of Israel's new aid policy, which allows for daily humanitarian pauses to facilitate aid delivery amid the ongoing hunger crisis in Gaza. Concerns have been raised about the lack of accountability for aid not distributed by major international organizations.
