Government hostage negotiator Gal Hirsch met with Thai Ambassador Boonyarit Vichienpuntu in Jerusalem to discuss ongoing efforts to secure the release of remaining hostages, as negotiations for a ceasefire in Gaza remain stalled. The meeting comes after the deaths of two Thai citizens, Sontia Ok'Krasari and Sontisek Rintalk, who were held hostage in Gaza. To date, twenty-eight Thai citizens have been released from captivity through previous hostage deals, and the body of one victim has been recovered by Israeli forces.
