Groups of ultranationalist activists, organized by the Nachala settlement movement, have begun marching toward the Gaza border from near Sderot, aiming to promote the re-establishment of Jewish settlements in the Gaza Strip. The activists hope to enter Gaza if government approval is granted, with support from several cabinet ministers and coalition lawmakers who have requested authorization for a scouting mission. Nachala's leader, Daniella Weiss, stated that around one thousand families are prepared to participate, and the group intends to mark potential sites for new settlements. Defense Minister Israel Katz has not yet responded to the request for entry into Gaza.
