A 22-year-old man, Muhammad Umer Khalid, has been remanded in custody following charges related to a break-in at RAF Brize Norton, where two military aircraft were damaged during a protest. The incident, which took place in June, involved demonstrators entering the Oxfordshire air base and spray painting two Voyager planes, resulting in an estimated £7 million in damages. Khalid appeared at Westminster Magistrates' Court and was denied bail, with his next court appearance scheduled at the Old Bailey in August. Four others have already been charged and are also in custody, with a trial date set for 2027.
