Thousands gathered in London to demand that the United Kingdom intensify efforts to secure the release of hostages still held in Gaza following the October 7 attacks. The rally, organized by Stop the Hate UK and several Jewish organizations, took place near Downing Street and called on Prime Minister Keir Starmer to prioritize the hostages' release amid ongoing discussions about recognizing a Palestinian state.
Relatives of hostages, including those of Evyatar David and Avinatan Or, spoke at the event, sharing personal stories and urging action. The demonstration was supported by a broad spectrum of Jewish denominations in the United Kingdom, with the Chief Rabbi also in attendance. Organizers emphasized the urgency of the situation and called for increased diplomatic pressure on Hamas to ensure the safe return of those still captive.
