Retired Israeli military officer Noam Tibon has strongly criticized the Toronto International Film Festival's decision to cancel the screening of a documentary about the October 7, 2023, Hamas-led massacre. The film, 'The Road Between Us: The Ultimate Rescue,' recounts Tibon's dramatic rescue of his family and others from terrorists at Kibbutz Nahal Oz.
Tibon condemned the festival's move, calling it 'absurd and delusional,' and accused organizers of succumbing to pressure and attempting to erase the truth of the atrocities committed by Hamas. The festival cited legal concerns over the use of footage from Hamas terrorists as the reason for the cancellation.
Tibon argued that the festival's explanation further harms the victims and insisted that the truth cannot be erased or denied.
