Noam, once an active child passionate about soccer, faced a life-altering diagnosis of Complex Regional Pain Syndrome that left him wheelchair-bound and struggling emotionally. His journey took a hopeful turn at ADI Negev-Nahalat Eran, where he discovered wheelchair basketball and gradually regained his confidence and joy. The supportive team environment, led by coach Amram Cohen and team captain Liad Uriel, has become a close-knit community for Noam and other players, offering not just sport but healing and belonging. The center now provides a range of adaptive sports, but basketball remains central, giving participants like Noam renewed purpose and hope.
