Three of Israel's leading research universities have been ranked among the top 100 globally in the 2025 Shanghai Ranking. The Weizmann Institute of Science is placed at 71st, the Hebrew University of Jerusalem at 88th, and the Technion-Israel Institute of Technology at 97th. Each of these institutions saw a drop in their rankings compared to last year. The top positions in the ranking remain unchanged, with Harvard University leading, followed by Stanford University, the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, the University of Cambridge, and the University of California, Berkeley.
