A 62-year-old man from Lod was arrested after a botched apartment break-in where he dropped his dentures while fleeing the scene. The incident occurred in May, when the suspect entered a second-floor apartment through a window, wearing a ski mask and carrying a flashlight. The homeowner confronted the intruder, leading to a struggle during which the burglar lost his dentures. The suspect escaped by jumping out of a kitchen window, leaving the apartment empty-handed. Police recovered the dentures and used DNA testing to identify the man, who has a lengthy history of burglaries. Authorities have filed an indictment and requested that he remain in custody until the legal proceedings conclude.
