32 detained during nationwide protests for hostages' release, police say

Police have detained 32 people during nationwide protests calling for the release of Israeli hostages and an end to the conflict in Gaza. The demonstrations, organized by families of hostages and victims of the October 7 attack, have led to major highway blockages across the country. Most arrests occurred in Tel Aviv, particularly on Begin Road and Ayalon Highway, while several others were made in Jerusalem as protesters marched through the city. Authorities closed streets near the Prime Minister's residence in response to the large gatherings.
