Hundreds of supporters gathered outside a London court as Liam Og O hAnnaidh, a member of Irish rap group Kneecap, faced a terrorism charge for allegedly displaying a flag linked to a Lebanese militia during a concert. O hAnnaidh, known as Mo Chara, is accused of waving the flag and making statements in support of the group while on stage in November 2024. His lawyers argue the charge was filed too late, while prosecutors insist it was within the legal time frame. The judge is expected to rule on the case next month. Kneecap and their supporters have described the charge as an attempt to silence the group, who are known for their outspoken political views and support for Palestinian causes.
