Pakistan has sent its 21st consignment of relief items to Gaza, reaffirming its solidarity with the Palestinian people amid ongoing military operations. The latest shipment, totaling 100 tons of ration bags, cooked meals, and fruit tin packs, was dispatched from Lahore by the National Disaster Management Authority. Federal Minister for Overseas Pakistanis Chaudhry Salik Hussain and senior officials attended the ceremony, emphasizing Pakistan's commitment to supporting Gaza during this humanitarian crisis.
In total, Pakistan has delivered over 2,000 tons of aid through 21 consignments, with recent deliveries arriving in Egypt for onward transport to Gaza. The region continues to suffer from severe food shortages and famine, with warnings that conditions may worsen in the coming months. Pakistan has consistently called for an independent Palestinian state and urged the international community to ensure uninterrupted humanitarian access to Gaza.
Since the onset of the conflict in October 2023, Pakistan has raised concerns about civilian casualties at international forums and demanded an end to military actions in Gaza. The death toll in Gaza has surpassed 62,000, with most victims being civilians, according to local health authorities.
